Infidelity

Remaining faithful for life is a tall order. Statistically in the U.S., 41% of married people admit to either physical or emotional infidelity, and two thirds say they would have an affair if they knew they'd never be caught. In the last 50 years the definitions and styles of partnership have broadened to include gay, bisexual and transgender marriages, blended families, and cohabitation without marriage. We often have three or four long term partners in adulthood, we may live in different cities and commute, sleep in separate bedrooms, and have different sets of friends. In this episode, I will be sharing the conversation with Dr. Bonnie Comfort, Ph.D., we will explore why people have affairs, what we can learn about love from their experiences, how we can cope with either having an affair ourselves or discovering our partner has been cheating.
